Our Breeding Program

We plan our litters to incorporate all aspects of the Saluki - function, beauty, and temperament. We strive to test our breeding stock for heart, thyroid and other breed specific problems before allowing them to be used in our breeding program. Our puppies are kitchen raised & well socialized. We provide life long support & guarantee healthy puppies. Below you will find information about our UPCOMING LITTERS! We also encourage you to view our PAST LITTERS.

Our Breeding Policies

Before you contact us about the potential of becoming a home for one of our pups, please read through and consider the following information regarding our breeding and placement policies:

PUPPY PLACEMENT| PUPPY COST| PUPPY SHIPPING

Since we breed to produce Salukis that can do what they were created for, we really like to place pups in homes where they will be coursed and/or shown. Not all pups are suited to show/performance events so we occasionally have pet pups available too. We strive to place pups into 'forever' homes, but in the event that a pup can no longer be kept, we insist they come back to us. All of our puppies are CKC registered (with the exception of possible first/second generation desert bred litters) and sold on a non-breeding contract unless otherwise arranged. Puppies placed as pets may be subject to a neuter/spay agreement.

Upcoming Litters

At Faridaat, we generally breed sparingly every 2-4 years, usually when we desire to add one to our breeding stock. There are exceptions of course, but that is our aim. We have a limit on how many dogs we feel can be kept in our home an still ensure proper care, attention and socialization of each dog. Occasionally, we will enter into a co-breeding with another breeder and puppies may be available more often. Please see below for our upcoming litter plans. We do reserve the right to alter these plans without notice, so if you are interested, we encourage you to contact us and visit this page regularly for updates.

Accidental Summer Litter (Faridaat "G" Litter) Karnak Reign's Barakah x Faridaat Eo Xena co-bred by C. Collignon & Shelley Work
As sometimes happens, dogs have their own agendas. This is certainly the case here. Xena, a lovely part desert-bred representative of our Faridaat E Litter who lives with her owner in Idaho was accidentally bred by her kennelmate while having a silent heat. Consequently, she is expecting puppies at the end of July. We felt it was our responsibility to try to ensure these pups are registered with a kennel prefix and find great homes so we will be acting as co-breeders on this litter. The parents are in the process of being registered with AKC now so that the pups will be eligible for AKC registration. Despite that this was an accidental breeding, these pups should be suitable for show, coursing and companion homes and there may even be a couple smooths! Spring 2010: Faridaat F Litter Enayat Nika Hadi el Basher x Burydown Violane Gem
We are excited to announce our Faridaat F Litter from our lovely Burydown Violane Gem! Since there are few direct-descended Burydown bred Salukis available to carry forward these days, we decided that another litter from Layla was appropriate. On May 9 - Mother's day - Layla whelped 6 lovely pups by handsome Belgian import Enayat Nika Hadi el Basher (Nika)! These pups should be serious contenders in the ring and the field.
